Charlie Brown Tree/Projects/Group Pictures

Well its official we have our self's a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree! I got this tree last year for 90% off at a target so I only paid 7bucks for it! When we first set it up everything was fine. It did lean a bit but nothing to bad. We did move it around the room a bit to see where it would look best and somehow in the process, the stand started to bend and after we found the right place for the tree it was leaning big time. For those that know me know this bugged me big time. But I was trying to be patient well my husband was busy at school all week(for him to fix it) because every time I tried the tree fell over. Well Carter did not help out the leaning tree either. He hit it with a light sabers, a dust pan multiple times and keeps pulling off all ornaments. On Sat. we had friends over for a lunch and some how my tree got bummed. It fell over for the last time and no matter what we did it would not stay up. Some of the guys tried fishing wire to hold it up but it still would fall down. So that night I went and bought a tree stand for a real tree and Matt fixed our Charlie Brown Tree......

We now have two boards helping hold up our tree and it still leans a bit. But this is as good as it will get this year. And just maybe I will get another one after Christmas but for now this tree will have to do.

With my Mom and sister being here we made (or should I say I made) lots of things! With there help.

These two wreaths!

I sewed a new cover for my ottoman. I was quite impressed with myself.
My old one had holes and tear's on it.

My sister and I made these necklaces with this tutorial.
I also sewed a few baby gifts for my brothers and sister laws baby
boy(he comes in April sometime). I will show pictures of those projects
once she has had a shower and seen them first. They turned out so cute!!

And before my sister left we took some pictures of all of us!
Let me just say I had so much fun with my sister and mom. I loved every min of it.
They are two of my best friends and I love them both so much.
Thanks for coming to see us. I can't wait for July to come to see them and
it will be summer and not cold.

Cinnamon Ornaments/Gingerbread House

With having my Mom and sister here we decide to make some of our Holiday traditions that we do every year. Here are the boys helping make our cinnamon and apple sauce ornaments.

I have made these ornaments sense Hunter's first Christmas.
The nice thing about them is that they smell soooo good, and if the
kids break them no big deal. After they dry for a few days we paint them and then put them on our tree.

We also had fun making the gingerbread house. This year I just
put icing all over the house and let the kids put candy on. Super easy (may not look very good) but they had fun doing it all on there own.

My dad got to stay with us till Saturday morning. It was so nice to see him,
I was really thinking it was going to be a whole year till we would see him. Because
my family is coming out in July again. So thanks for the great Surprise Dad we
miss you tons already.

Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was a huge success! We got one HUGE Surprise and I loved having most of my family here to celebrate it with us. So the Surprise was that my Dad came out to see us also. I have know from months now that my Mom and sister where coming to spend Thanksgiving with us, my dad just kept saying there was no way he could make it. So The night before Thanksgiving I was on the phone talking to my dad. When I heard the door bell ring. I figured it was my next door neighbor, anyways I opened the door and it was my Dad! I could not believe it. He flew into Pittsburgh and rented a car and surprised us. My Mom had no clue he was even coming. It was a great surprise but his visit was way to short. Hunter, Mom and Dad

We also had some of our friends over to celebrate also.

Pittsburgh Nov. 2 & 3

During Matt's break from school (he had a week off). We went to Pittsburgh with some friends of ours The Ashments. We had so much fun and loved seeing Pittsburgh. What a great place I just loved everything about it.

Pittsburgh

This is what we rode to the top to see the city of Pittsburgh. Its called Monongahela Incline -- called the Mon Incline by locals -- is the oldest and steepest incline in the United States, as well as the nation's oldest cable car operation.

After we rode up and down the incline.
We went and ate at the Famous Pirmanti Bros .
and then walked around seeing some of the downtown.

I just love Carters little crack.

After dragging the kids everywhere. They need to release energy.
So we took them to a park and let them play. They had a ton of
fun on this blue slide that you go down on card board.

I love this picture (just not my double chin)!

After checking into the Hotel and swimming for a bit.
We went back up the incline to see the city at night.
Man was it beautiful. I shot all this night pictures in manual mode.
I just love the clouds and all the lights.

This is right out side the Hard Rock at Union Station! They have a light
show with water and music. They kids had tons of fun dancing.
