New Jersey/Dairy Farm

For the rest of our trip we headed to New Jersey to stay at my Uncle's and Aunt's house. My Aunt's family owns a dairy farm right down the street from them. So we spent a ton of time over there. When I was 12 I stayed on this farm with my family for a few days. They have a house on the farm and Ann Marie's brother stays at it and he helps his dad run the farm 365 days a year. They never get a day off unless they hire someone to do it. They have to get up around 4am and start. They milk about 150 cows twice a day. Lets just say after being there for an afternoon seeing how they run the dairy farm. I have a found new respect for my milk. These men work hard and don't get paid nearly enough for the milk.
Barn where they milk the cows.

They milk 18 cows at a time.

This is the huge tank the milk gets pumped into.

They have a ton of calf's. They raise them tell its time to get them pregnant after
they have a baby then of course they will produce milk. So then the cow gets used for milking. Its a huge circle they just keep doing this over and over again.

Carter was not quite sure about the cows.

Tyson on one of there many trackers.

One afternoon they put the boys to work. They helped with
the watering. Hunter took his job very serious.

Uncle OJ showing the boys that they can feed them.

Hunter got quite the friendly cow and loved to eat out of his hand.

Paxton had fun feeding them also.

These cow are either pregnant or they are trying to get them pregnant.
So they keep them in a diff barn with the young calf's.

They bottle feed all there new calf's.

This is Sarah, we could not
get Carter to touch a cow but he loved this cat.
