Matt has been working like crazy ever sense we have moved to AZ. He has been in rotations here for school.....which is a 40hr week usually he did 4 10x, so that he could have Friday off to work. He than would work Friday-Sunday and try to do a 30 hrs in those 3 days if not more!!! He ended up finishing up his rotations two weeks before he had to be back to school. So we decide to take a much need family trip for 4 days. Matt's parents live up north in Heber and have a beautiful home. We thought it would be perfect and we would also be able to escape the heat!!!!
AZ wildfire season has started and one of the fires that was going on at that time was on our way up!
We got to see lots of smoke coming from the mountains!!
Matt's parents also just had a new toy delivered to their house just a day or two before we got up there. We call it Bumble bee. Man alive the kids loved going on rides!!! We took this baby out right when we arrived!!!
Beck wanted to ride on Bumble bee so bad!!
He would just stand and watch and wait to see them drive by.
We did end up taking him for a ride!! He loved it!
The next morning we got up and went fishing at Christopher Creek!
We saw quite a few fish look at the picture below. There are our our fishing lines and a fish in between. Seriously at one point there was about 4 all together and not one would bite. So Matt took matters into his own hands and caught one with his own hands.
This is where it gets good. Matt is getting into the water to grab another when. See Carter in the picture on the rock sitting there. Well somehow he fell in all the way. Good thing Matt was right there and was able to scoop him up out of the water fast.
Here he is just out of the water. I'm I a bad mom to grab my camera and take pictures instead of helping him??? I just could not miss out on the picture moments!! All he did was cry and cry. The water was pretty cold and he was soaked.
He finally made his way over still crying!!
I got him calmed down and asked him if we could take his clothes off to get him warm. He at first said no so him and Beckett had a little snack!!
He did though give in and let me take his clothes off. I held him for a bit to get him warm and than he was ready to go. So he grab his pole and waited for us to pack up. Of course, I had to take some pictures. Look at his undies..... 9 out of 10 times they will look like this. He wears them backwards all the time. Love it!!!!
Bob got some dirt delivered to his house to spread out in his front yard. So that night after dinner we all went out to help spread it!!! Matt had this bright idea to take Bumble Bee over and well. The pictures below pretty much shows what happened. Poor Bumble Bee did not make it over:(
After tyring quite a few time to push it out. The neighbor came over and with a rope so we could pull it out with the truck!!!
The next morning before we left the kids took one last ride.
Such a fun 3days. The boys loved it!!!
